Metalis are working with a well-established manufacturer. They supply a wide range of sectors and due to an influx in production orders, the company are looking to hire a Fettler to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
Operate hand and power tools to clean, grind, and finish fabricated metal components.
Use oxy-fuel cutting torches to fill holes, cut, trim, and prepare metals to required specifications.
Remove excess welds, burrs, and sharp edges to ensure a safe and high-quality finish.
Follow drawings and instructions accurately.
Work to production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.
Carry out routine safe operation checks on tools and equipment.Key Requirements:
Previous experience in fettling and burning torch operation (essential).
Strong understanding of workshop safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Physically fit and able to work in a busy fabrication environment.
Willingness to work as part of a team.Shifts:
There is an option of either days or Afternoons (4-day working week)
Day Hours: 06.00am - 16.30pm Mon-Thursday (Pay is £12.99 - £13.49 per hour depending on experience)
Late Hours: 16.30pm - 03.00am Mon-Thursday pay is £12.99-£21.69)
