Parent Governor Wargrave House School Volunteer Role Are you looking to work for a charity with aspirational growth plans that has an exciting journey ahead? We at Remarkable Group pride ourselves on providing high quality services for autistic young people. Wargrave House School (ages 5 – 16) operate a non-maintained special school with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care. We are the first national provider to receive Beacon status from the National Autistic Society. Our mission is to provide a world where autistic people live happy and fulfilled lives. We support and educate autistic people throughout their lives and redefine what’s possible by providing innovative and transformative services. We have an ambitious five-year plan to achieve our objectives and are looking for values driven individuals to contribute to these future successes. The school’s governing body is responsible for providing confident and strategic leadership, and creating robust accountability, oversight and assurance for the school’s educational and financial performance. The governing body is passionate about education and committed to continuous school improvement to ensure the best possible outcomes for our learners. Our school governing body is seeking expressions of interest from parents/carers who would like to become Parent Governors. Parent Governors play a vital role in supporting the leadership of the school, ensuring that all children receive the best possible support and education. As a member of the governing body, you will: Help shape the school’s strategic direction. Support and challenge school leaders to drive improvement. Represent the views of parents and the wider school community. Ensure accountability for the school’s performance and finances. No prior experience is necessary – training and support will be provided. What matters most is your enthusiasm, commitment, and a desire to make a positive difference for our children. As a parent governor, you will work with the governing body to make sure it effectively carries out the duties referred to above. You’ll also play a vital role in bringing a parental perspective to the governing board, but you’re not there to speak ‘on behalf’ of the parent body.
