Duties
* Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
* Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
* Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and recommendations, while effectively upselling items.
* Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables, maintaining high standards of presentation.
* Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
* Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
* Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
* Maintain an organised workspace, including cleaning tables and resetting them for new guests.
* Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts.
Experience
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous.
* Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
* Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
* A background in guest services with a focus on creating positive dining experiences is essential.
