This role involves managing and enhancing quality systems within a supplier and site environment, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and fostering continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Establish and maintain an efficient Supplier Approval and Review System.
2. Conduct effective Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes to facilitate Supplier Development.
3. Improve Supplier Quality metrics through targeted Improvement Plans.
4. Manage Supplier Material Review Board and SCAR process.
5. Build professional and responsive relationships with Suppliers.
6. Ensure best practices are adopted across Site and Supply Chain.
7. Implement methods for recording Supplier Performance, including SDPPM and SOTIF.
8. Achieve KPI performance for Supplier and Site Quality Objectives.
9. Ensure adherence to Supply Chain Procedures, Processes, and Policies.
10. Define and monitor Supplier MRB metrics to maintain performance within targets.
11. Participate in Site-wide Continuous Improvement projects.
12. Support Transfer of Work and First Article Inspection activities.
13. Ensure all relevant Quality metrics are recorded and utilized effectively.
14. Develop and implement systems to assure product conformity.
15. Reinforce Quality behaviors through training, support, and assessments.
16. Support maintenance and improvement of Business Management System (BMS) procedures.
17. Deploy effective Quality Planning and conduct Contract Reviews.
18. Assist in removing non-value-added activities within the Supply Chain.
19. Process NCRs/CRs/FRACAS Reports related to Site and Supplier activities.
20. Ensure Suppliers flow down Regulatory and Contractual Quality requirements.
21. Handle non-conformities and Customer complaints efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proficiency in Quality Tools and Techniques.
* Knowledge of Aerospace Quality Standards: AS9100, Part 21G, and Part 145.
* Experience in Development and Interpretation of Engineering Specifications.
* Supplier Management and Development skills.
* Program and Time Management capabilities.
* Use of Lean Tools and Techniques (ref. 8 Wastes).
* Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
* Auditor trained and qualified (AS9100/ISO9001).
* Experience in creation and assessment of AS9102 FAIRs.
