Are you a proactive People Advisor / HR Advisor, looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced professional services environment? Our client is seeking a skilled People Advisor to deliver a premium people service across various departments nationally in the UK. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing employee experience from onboarding to exit, while also supporting vital initiatives around engagement, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner Support & Development: Provide guidance to department heads and line managers to enhance their management capabilities and foster continuous development within their teams.
* Compensation & Benefits: Support the annual bonus and salary review processes by utilizing market data and advising line managers and budget holders to ensure fair compensation practices.
* Employee Relations: Offer expert advice on employee relations issues, including capability, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Conduct investigations and attend relevant meetings to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
* Wellbeing & Absence Management: Serve as a wellbeing ambassador, offering support to line managers and staff regarding mental health and absence issues, and manage complex occupational health cases.
* Performance & Development: Lead appraisal moderation meetings, ensuring performance evaluations are equitable. Provide coaching and constructive feedback to line managers for optimal team development.
* Policies & Procedures: Advise on the application of company policies, contribute to policy amendments, and ensure alignment with best practices.
* Lifecycle Activities: Conduct exit interviews for senior roles and provide guidance on family leave options, promoting shared parental leave among employees.
* Data Analysis & Reporting: Interpret and analyze people-related data to inform decision-making and deliver regular reports on key metrics such as retention and absence trends.
* Project Involvement: Participate in national HR projects and lead local initiatives as necessary.
What We Are Looking For:
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a People Advisor role or similar generalist HR position.
* Significant experience in performance management and capability processes.
* Proven track record in investigating disciplinary and grievance cases, as well as conducting redundancy consultations.
* Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
* Experience in completing salary review processes is preferred.
* Background in a professional or financial services environment is advantageous.
* Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and leverage insights.
* CIPD qualified or working towards qualification preferred.
* Excellent organizational, client service, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* A passion for Human Resources and enhancing employee experiences.
