Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Industry Director to lead IFS's growth and establish market leadership within the Energy & Utilities industry You will be instrumental in defining our industry-specific solutions, driving strategic customer wins, and positioning IFS as the premier partner for digital transformation in this vertical.
As a senior leader with extensive experience interacting at an executive level, you will own the growth strategy and combine deep domain insight, solution expertise, and business acumen to influence customers, guide product direction, and orchestrate successful go-to-market execution across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own and lead the global strategy for your industry vertical, positioning IFS as a recognized leader in the market.
2. Serve as a thought leader, representing IFS at major industry events, forums, and in media to shape market perception.
3. Define and communicate executive-level value propositions tailored to industry challenges and transformation trends.
4. Drive strategic engagement with C-level stakeholders, supporting sales teams in high-value opportunities and executive discussions.
5. Translate industry requirements into product and solution innovation by partnering closely with R&D and M&A teams.
6. Lead the development of targeted go-to-market strategies, content, and marketing campaigns that resonate with industry buyers.
7. Build and strengthen relationships across the partner ecosystem, influencers, and industry bodies to drive joint growth initiatives.
8. Equip internal teams and partners with the tools, insights, and competitive positioning necessary to win in the market.
9. Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Enablement to develop industry plays and ensure alignment across all customer touchpoints.
Qualifications
10. Expertise in the Energy & Utilities industry, particularly within the context of enterprise software or SaaS.
11. Experience in a similar role within a large software business or within a management consulting firm, ideally at Director or Partner level.
12. Proven success operating at a strategic level with board-level presence and influence.
13. Ability to build and leverage relationships across complex ecosystems (customers, partners, internal teams).
14. Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of industry dynamics, enterprise sales processes, and product strategy.
15. Highly collaborative mindset with experience working effectively across functions (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Partners).
16. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
