Role Overview
The role involves undertaking credit control and collections activities via email and telephone to support the operations of the Invoice Finance Division. The role also involves conducting verification activities to contribute to the identification and management of risk.
The role is customer facing, supporting relationship management teams in obtaining information and client feedback. The role involves working across a diverse range of clients so the ability to prioritise workloads effectively is essential.
Summary of Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* To maintain satisfactory levels of credit control and verification for a mixed portfolio of Clients
* To contact clients to arrange the collection of late payments and process incoming funds.
* To deal with any queries or administrative tasks via telephone, email or post as required.
* To maintain high standards of client service and ongoing risk management.
* To work with the Operations Team and report positive and adverse information with the relevant Relationship Manager and/or Relationship Executive.
* To provide regular updates and monthly reporting, ensuring issues or complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and in accordance with company processes.
* To ensure all data is recorded completely, accurately and in accordance with GDPR guidelines.

Position Holder Profile
The postholder must be able to work confidentiality both independently and as part of a team, working to provide a proactive service, delivering information to internal colleagues to inform decision making.
The postholder should be comfortable liaising with clients both via email and over the phone, with the ability to actively build relationships and problem solve.
The post would be well suited to an individual with a background in customer service or administration with an interest in developing a career within the Invoice Finance Industry.
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
Essential:
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Good financial literacy and understanding.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Detail orientated with the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
* Experience working with customers, providing both service and resolutions.
Desirable:
* Experience undertaking a similar credit control or collections role.
* Commercial awareness and sensitivity to business priorities.
* Working knowledge of CRM and debtor management tools.
