Salary: Starting from £41,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 39 hours per week Thursday to Monday
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Health & Safety Advisor (Days) on Hinkley Point C. You will work with the on-site Health, Safety, and Environmental department to support the development of processes and systems, monitor performance, and provide advice and support to ensure Wilson James Logistics teams operate safely in line with the Construction Phase Plan, RAMS, DABS, HPC processes and procedures, and current legislation and best practice. You will also follow all Wilson James SOPs, internal policies, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the Health and Safety Compliance Standards of the HPC project are consistently met
* Collaborate with the site-integrated H&S team (external) and the Wilson James HSW Team (internal)
* Provide competent advice across a multi-functional project
* Perform duties in line with site operations policies and procedures
* Build strong relationships with other Tier 1 and Tier 2 H&S departments
* Monitor working practices of employees and contractors regarding health, safety, wellbeing, environment, and welfare
* Conduct H&S inspections across the site
* Undertake additional tasks as reasonably required
* Share best practices and lessons learnt for continuous improvement
* Engage with Site H&S team and Site Safety Representatives
* Conduct audits of site activities and sub-contractor operations
* Record audit and inspection findings per HSE Management system requirements
* Intervene when unsafe practices are observed and propose solutions
* Report accidents/incidents/near misses per project requirements and Notify system
* Follow the Insight procedure for Observations
* Undertake additional duties as required by the line manager
What We Need From You
Skills, Qualification and Experience
Essential
* Level 3 NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate or other Level 3 equivalent accredited Certificate in Health & Safety (must be obtained before start date)
* Previous Health & Safety experience within construction or similar industries
* NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate
Desirable
* HPC pass holder
* Knowledge of HPC Site
* Driving licence
* SMSTS/SSSTS
Site Specific Information
* You must be able to provide a 3-year work history and vetting in line with HPC protocols
* You must be able to obtain the HPC pass
* The site is remote and a 45-minute bus journey each way is required for access
