Position: Junior 3D artist
Location: Bingham, Nottinghamshire
Salary: from £26,500-£30,000 depending on experience
Position overview:
We are looking to expand our team keep up with client demand for 3D visualisation projects. As our Junior 3D artist, you will take design briefs, sketches and laser scan data and produce high-quality 3D design solutions that bring our clients’ visions to life. You will also support the wider team with artwork creation and preparation, handling design tweaks, creating original artwork, and producing print-ready files for both internal marketing requests and client briefs.
We currently use SketchUp, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite, but we’re open to the tools you work best with – what matters most is the quality of the output and your commitment to delivering work our clients love. This is a full-time, office-based role at our unit in Bingham, Nottinghamshire.
Responsible to:
You will report to the marketing director with day-to-day guidance from the lead 3D artist. The marketing director will be responsible for development, objectives and performance. The lead 3D artist will be responsible for allocating your workload and on the job training.
Key responsibilities:
· Work alongside the lead 3D artist to deliver highly polished 3D models, renders and VR walkthroughs
· Interpret design briefs, sketches and laser scan data to create accurate, high-quality 3D visualisations
· Contribute innovative ideas that align with client visual identities and brand guidelines
· Prepare and supply print-ready artwork for internal marketing collateral and client print requests, ensuring files meet technical specifications
· Create and adapt graphic designs and artwork for a range of print applications, working to brand guidelines and client briefs
· Incorporate feedback from clients and IPS
· Utilise industry-standard 2D and 3D design software (Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and Enscape) to create high quality visual assets
· Stay up to date with design trends, emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve design skills and inspire the wider team.
Required skills:
· Proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering software and VR walkthrough creation – SketchUp and Enscape experience is a strong advantage, though we will also consider graduates with a design focus who demonstrate clear aptitude and a genuine eagerness to learn
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) or equivalent for both 3D asset creation and the preparation of print-ready artwork and graphic design
· Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients
· Ability to receive feedback constructively and apply direction effectively
· Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
· A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and software
· Video editing and animation experience are desirable but not required.
