Overview
We are working with a medium size forwarder who have an exciting opportunity for an Air Export Clerk to join a small successful team.
Our client is looking for some experience of start to finish Air Exports.
Responsibilities
* Shipping coordination, receiving shipment details via EDI/email, create job files, and airway bills.
* Input data onto internal systems.
* Calculate job costs, raise sales invoices, negotiate freight rates and issue export quotations to clients and partners.
* Communicate with customers and overseas offices to coordinate export collections and operations.
* Complete export documentation, submit customs exports declarations via CDS (ASM/Sequoia) and perform post flight tracking.
* Maintain export databases and SOPs, handle billing and job costing and perform general admin tasks like filing.
Experience / Qualifications
* Previous Air Export experience.
* Good knowledge of Airway bills, etc.
* Good Customs knowledge.
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
* Able to prioritise workload.
* Reliable with good time keeping.
Schedule
Monday to Friday 36.5 hours a week. Can work either of the shifts; need to stick to one.
8am-4pm or 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm
