An opportunity for Health care support workers has arisen within CTM wide Stroke Unit. We are looking for reliable motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the team.
The individuals will be required to work under the direction of the registered nurse, ensuring high standards of care are provided and maintained at all times.
Successful candidate will be caring for patients on an acute stroke with complex health issues. You will be responsible for providing care for patients who require assistance with all activities of daily living including washing, dressing mobilising, feeding and pressure area care.
Successful candidate will also be expected to complete documentation to an acceptable standard and assist in keeping ward area clean and clutter free.
The applicants will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills along with the ability to use their own initiative. Flexibility regarding shift patterns is essential.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesnt mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isnt fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. The Health Board currently operate a number of different shift systems. The most common are a 12.5 hour shift, inclusive of either one 30 minute or two 30-minute unpaid breaks. These shift patterns are subject to review and the Health Board reserves the right to change working arrangements. CTM is a Health Board committed to meaningful consultation with staff and to making balanced decisions that consider all aspects of our service and workforce.
