Company Introduction:
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Financial Crime Business Analyst to join their team for a six-month contract.
Candidate MUST have worked on Financial Crime projects.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives:
You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of Fin crime projects by providing expert business analysis support.
1. Business Analysis
* Drive the successful delivery of Fin crime projects by providing expert business analysis support.
* Decipher complex business requirements, challenges, and opportunities, translating them into clear and actionable solutions.
* Ensure consistency and quality across all project deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Conduct gap analysis workshops, identifying areas for improvement, and develop actionable recommendations for enhanced processes and solutions.
2. Stakeholder Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders across all levels.
* Proactively identify, address, and escalate any potential issues to project leadership in a timely manner.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of project objectives, aligning stakeholders' interests and resolving conflicts as necessary.
3. Process and Methodology
* Adhere to and enforce project methodologies and standards, including process documentation, evidence management, and the use of collaboration tools.
* Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset, continually challenging assumptions to optimise project outcomes and efficiency.
* Drive process improvements through effective use of data, tools, and insights gained from analysis.
4. Regulatory Compliance
* Develop and maintain a traceability matrix to track and ensure regulatory requirements related to Fin crime are aligned with project deliverables.
* Stay updated on the latest financial crime regulations, industry best practices, and compliance standards to ensure projects are regulatory-compliant.
* Support the regulatory compliance team in interpreting financial crime regulations and translating them into operational requirements for the business.
Required Skills/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* Proven ability to analyse complex business information, and translate it into clear, actionable business requirements and solutions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of facilitating workshops, conducting presentations, and producing clear documentation.
* Strong understanding of Agile project delivery methodologies and how they are applied in financial services projects.
* In-depth knowledge of financial crime regulations and controls, with experience in understanding their impact on business operations.
* Practical experience in financial services, particularly in financial crime detection, prevention, or related compliance roles.
* Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Jira, Confluence).
* Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Flexibility to travel as required to meet project objectives and stakeholder needs.
* Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deliver under pressure, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Desired Skills (Optional):
* Experience with specific Fin crime detection and prevention systems/tools (e.g., Actimize, ACI, SAS).
* Certifications in Financial Crime Risk or Business Analysis (e.g., ACAMS, ICA, CFCS, CFE CBAP, IIBA).
