Key Account Manager – Drainage Solutions
Location: Midlands, East England and Wales
About the Role
We’re looking for a commercially driven Key Account Manager to join a growing manufacturer within the drainage and pipework sector. This role is focused on managing and developing strategic relationships with merchants and groundworks contractors, driving sales growth, and strengthening market presence across your territory.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key merchant groups and groundworks contractors
* Develop strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers and influencers
* Deliver against sales targets, margin objectives, and KPIs
* Identify and convert new business opportunities within your region
* Work closely with internal teams (technical, marketing, operations) to support customer needs
* Provide product training and support to merchants and contractors
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and project pipelines
* Ensure effective territory planning and reporting via CRM
About You
* Proven experience in a Key Account Manager or Area Sales role within drainage, pipework, civils, or related construction products
* Strong network and understanding of merchant channels and/or groundworks contractors
* Commercially astute with a track record of delivering sales growth
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
* Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working in a field-based role
* Full UK driving licence
