Overview

The role sits within the UK SMB team and is responsible for driving Uber Eats long-term commercial relationships with some of our top local favorite brands. As the Commercial Account Manager, youll manage a portfolio of accounts—collaborating with partners to help them grow their business sustainably while delivering the best experience to our users, with the goal of making Uber Eats their most loved delivery platform.

The role calls for a combination of relationship management, commercial acumen, operational excellence and problem solving. You should be comfortable in an all hands on deck environment, love solving problems, thrive in a start-up culture, and above all be passionate about our restaurant partners. There will be no shortage of challenges and opportunities to throw yourself into!


What Youll Do

* Manage a portfolio of restaurants across different geos in the UK and be responsible for its growth and profitability.
* Commercial Management: Lead commercial discussions with merchants to build sustainable long-term partnerships.
* Growth: Develop strategies with your partners to help grow their businesses (e.g., effective marketing plans, menu optimisations, operational improvements, etc.).
* Build effective outreach strategies: Establish and proactively maintain communication channels with merchant partners.
* Work with the manager to build scalable processes and standardize best-practices to grow mid-sized SMB accounts at scale.
* Track WoW rhythm of the business, and identify the hidden business signals.
* Operational Improvement: Drive forward operational improvement with partners to ensure the best experience to Uber Eats users and couriers — ensuring order accuracy and timely delivery.
* Analysis: Quantify initiatives using data-driven decision making to assess performance and prioritise strategies for your portfolio.
* Improve tools and processes: Use analytical ability and operational rigour to identify gaps and build tools to drive partnership KPIs.
* Partner with internal teams: Work with stakeholders in internal teams (e.g., Central Operations, Community Operations) to solve problems and ensure feedback is used to improve product and operations.


What Youll Have

* Commercial Expertise: 1-2+ years in client-facing or partnership roles with a track record of hitting targets, upselling, and managing complex, long-cycle deals.
* Analytical & Technical Fluency: Proficient in Excel/G-Suite (Sheets) with a systems-thinking approach to drive data-led decisions.
* Strategic Influence: Exceptional communication skills to navigate internal tension, influence stakeholders, and integrate business, finance, and legal concepts.
* Operational Grit: Proven autonomy and a hands-on mindset to deliver results under high-stakes pressure in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments.
* Resilience: Persistent and resourceful in navigating multifaceted partnerships and evolving partner needs.
