The role
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the Royal Navy Training Design Service. As the Senior Training Designer, you’ll support the Integrated Training Design Service to deliver blended, active learning that engages customers and delights learners.

* Previous experience in a Learning and Development role

Desirable
* Knowledge of ADDIE model and Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT)
* Experience in Training or Instructional Design
* Experience with program management tools and applications
* Knowledge of UK Ministry of Defence procedures and policies
* Team collaboration skills for creative solutions to technical problems
Responsibilities
* Accountable for all training courses assigned to you with regards to training transformation, advocating for active, engaging, inclusive and learner‑centric content
* Ensure processes for review and change of training courses follow the end‑to‑end design process, are DSAT compliant, and meet quality standards, proactively addressing and escalating challenges
* Produce and develop high‑quality training design, e‑learning and courseware materials; design using variety of media and technology
* Contribute to overall instructional strategy, analyze and implement changes to programmes, evaluating effective and ineffective instructional methodologies
* Seek feedback and impact stories to enhance courses and continuously improve training design
* Build strong stakeholder relationships with subject matter experts to contribute to training transformation
* Identify opportunities for accreditation of new or revised training, monitor existing accreditations
* Act as technical lead to ensure processes follow latest defence policy guidance
* Support continuous professional development of yourself and coaching of Training Designers you are allocated to
* Ensure personal and colleague health and safety; follow security standards and system requirements to protect data
* Perform any other duties to support the Integrated Training Design Service
