Job Description

Management Accountant | South Manchester | £50,000 - £65,000

An opportunity join an exciting, private equity backed Financial Services business based in South Manchester. This is a newly created role following substantial external investment, which has created a high growth culture which is placing a higher demand on the core finance team.

Reporting into an experienced Financial Controller, you will have a broad set of responsibilities including;

* Maintain the integrity of the finance ledger, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and completely within the accounting system.
* Produce monthly management reports with clear commentary, highlighting performance, key movements, and actionable insights.
* Perform regular balance sheet reviews, investigating discrepancies and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, helping to keep financial plans current and reliable.
* Oversee revenue checks and controls to confirm that reported income aligns with cash received.
* Support regulatory and compliance responsibilities, including preparation of statutory returns and oversight of payroll outputs.
* Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, accounting frameworks, and internal governance standards, keeping abreast of changes where relevant.
* Contribute to the year-end audit process, coordinating information requests and liaising with auditors and internal stakeholders.
* Drive enhancements to finance processes, leveraging system capabilities and advanced spreadsheet tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Provide support on cross-functional initiatives and one-off projects as the organisation continues to develop and expand.

Candidate profile;

* CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified preferred
* Prior exposure to a FS related industry
* Excellent excel skill – modelling experience advantageous
* Excellent communication skills, ability to talk to senior stakeholders
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
