About East Lancs Hospice
East Lancashire Hospice is a registered charity, founded in 1984. We support and care for patients with a life-limiting illness, their families and others close to them. We provide this in a number of ways; at the hospice and in people’s own homes across our community of Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley. With approximately 120 employees and over 250 volunteers, our people are our biggest asset. Our services rely on a motivated and caring workforce who strive to deliver excellence in all that they do. The hospice is a unique and special place where kindness and compassion run throughout.
Role: Head of Quality and Governance
Purpose: Lead the Governance and Quality agenda, ensuring systems and processes are implemented and monitored to achieve governance assurance and quality objectives across the Hospice.
The Successful Candidate
Due to standalone nature of the role, candidates must have a background in quality and governance in a healthcare setting. You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, have root cause analysis experience, be familiar with GDPR and information governance, and have in-depth knowledge of risk management. The hospice currently holds an ‘outstanding’ status; to maintain this, strong working knowledge of the CQC regulatory framework is required. Integrity and trust are key, with a confident yet collaborative working style.
How to apply
Please fully complete the application form and demonstrate how you meet the requirements of the role. Send your application and supporting statement to Recruitment@Eastlancshospice.org.uk, specifying the job title. References will not be contacted at this stage; only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. For further information, contact the recruiting manager.
