Ambitek are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Heating Engineer to join their busy and growing team in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Gas Engineer to carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on domestic heating and hot water systems while benefiting from strong earning potential, flexible working patterns, and excellent employee benefits.
The Role
The primary responsibility of the Heating Engineer will be to maintain and repair heating systems within customers’ properties, ensuring heating and hot water systems operate safely and efficiently. You will complete repairs promptly while delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair works across a range of domestic properties throughout the region.
* Deliver excellent customer care when dealing with clients and tenants.
* Provide updates on work progress and complete all required paperwork electronically and manually.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH procedures.
* Follow stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure parts are available when required.
* Participate in an out-of-hours evening and weekend call-out rota.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Heating Engineer / Gas Engineer.
* Essential gas qualifications including: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1.
* Strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly manner.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
* Ability to pass relevant criminal record and reference checks prior to employment.
Working Hours
Flexible working patterns available:
* 5 days per week (Mon-Fri), 8:00am - 5:00pm – 40 hours
* 4 days per week, agreed days, 8:00am - 7:00pm – 40 hours, with shift enhancement up to £4,160 per annum
* 5 days per week (Mon-Fri), 8:00am - 5:30pm – 42.5 hours, with shift enhancement up to £2,749 per annum
(1 hour lunch break daily, plus evening and weekend call-out rota)
