On behalf of my client, a global Aerospace and Defence manufacturer organisation based in Greater Manchester I am pleased to present the opportunity for a Production Engineer on a permanent basis.
This role is primarily responsible for providing technical support for products within the Operations function.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a bright and dedicated graduate / junior engineer to make their mark within production engineering.
Responsibilities
* Providing technical input within Operations (Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain).
* Supporting the technical justification for change control within an Operations environment.
* Supporting the supply chain function with technical queries.
* Supporting the Engineering (NPI) function with change control feedback.
* Presenting change control technical rationale into the Engineering Design Authority.
* Supporting the implementation of fresh, cost effective, best practice technological methods which enhances operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Solid understanding of Lean Principles and process variation (Green Belt desirable).
* Solid understanding of Core Manufacturing tools and ability to implement - OEE, Value Stream Mapping, Continuous improvement methods e.g. Kaizen.
* Solid understanding of APQP to assist members of NPI Team.
* Qualified to a minimum of HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering with previous experience in electronic manufacturing (Aerospace industry experience is highly desirable).
* Ability to problem solve a wide range of technical issues (Mechanical, Electrical & Process).
* Microsoft Office experience.
* Be proactive using methods to prevent failures within Customer/Production - PFMEA or Ishikawa.
