You may be a Buyer or Procurement Manager today and you still enjoy being close to the detail. Sourcing parts, managing suppliers, solving delivery problems and negotiating cost.
But ideally, you want to take that next step as you want more influence over how the supply chain works. This could be the one.
You will join a growing solutions-focused, engineering and manufacturing company, working across aerospace, automotive, motorsport and energy. The supply chain is active but not fully structured yet, and that is the opportunity.
You will stay hands on in procurement and supplier management. At the same time you will help shape the future supply chain. Consolidating suppliers, improving performance and supporting sourcing strategy with make versus buy decisions.
The supply base covers precision machining, composites, metallics and engineered assemblies. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams.
What we are looking for?
* Experience in procurement or supply chain within engineering or manufacturing.
* Currently operating as a Buyer or Procurement Manager in purchasing.
* Comfortable remaining hands on in sourcing and supplier management.
* Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
* Able to work in fast moving engineering environments.
* APICS CPIM or CSCP is valued, particularly around planning.
* CIPS is also useful, but not essential.
This role is not about inheriting a finished supply chain, you will help shape it.
If you want the next step and the chance to influence how a supply chain develops, this role offers that opportunity
