Aberdein Considine are looking for a Viewing Agent to join our busy office in Edinburgh on either a full time or part time basis. The successful candidate will require to hold a clean driver’s licence and must be licensed to drive a vehicle with manual gears. There is also a requirement for the suitable candidate to work some evenings and Saturdays. ROLE OF DEPARTMENT Identify and secure new valuation opportunities Successfully convert valuations to new business Ensure correct pricing and maximum exposure for clients properties Identify other business opportunities that will generate revenue for the firm Provide an efficient, reliable and professional service at all times JOB PURPOSE Show prospective buyers our stock of sale properties Promote the main features of each property Highlight other suitable properties to viewers Identify opportunities for legal and financial services and secure appointments for advisers/solicitors KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sell the advantages of our valuation service to potential sellers Obtain viewing feedback and communicate to clients Identify viewers specific property search requirements Cross sell properties, highlighting the properties main features and encourage viewings Identify other services that are relevant to the viewers situation and promote the benefits of using Aberdein Considine QUALIFICATIONS Essential Educated to Higher level or above SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Essential Strong oral and written communication skills Good presentation skills Well presented and professional A pleasant, confident manner Tact, discretion and respect for confidentiality Reliable and honest Possess good interpersonal skills Able to adapt to different professional and social environments Ability to plan and prioritise own workload Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment Work well individually Good time management Desirable Previous estate agency experience Proven track record of achieving targets Experience of cross selling and building business KNOWLEDGE Essential Local economic factors Desirable Knowledge of the conveyancing process (buying and selling) Local property market conditions Local Authority Building Standards/Planning Process An understanding of financial services products APTITUDES Essential Natural ability to sell Personable Relates to people Organised and efficient
