Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £14.18 an hour; this increases to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with an option for 12‑hour weeks.
We will schedule your contracted hours within your availability windows and give you three weeks' notice of your shifts.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the van and trays are clean and organised.
- Keep the back yard tidy and clear of rubbish.
- Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the van and check roadworthiness.
- Communicate changes to customers, offer refunds, manage substitutions.
- Treat products as if they were your own.
- Explain to customers that substitutions are free.
- Deliver within the customer time slot.
- Call the customer before arriving if early.
- Call the store if running 30+ minutes late.
Qualifications
- Build relationships with colleagues; create team spirit.
- Warm, welcoming interactions with customers.
- Respond quickly to changing customer needs.
- Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations.
- Share ideas with manager and colleagues to improve service.
- UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic only) with at least 12 months and no more than 3 penalty points.
- Adherence to GB Domestic Driving Rules.

Eligibility & Legal Requirements
Tesco will only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver's age. Candidates under 18 are not considered unless the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involves work in designated areas (warehouses, beer, wine & spirit counters, bakery, driving roles). We can only accept candidates over the age of 18 for these specific shifts.
