Overview
Join to apply for the Peripatetic Social Worker - Warwick role at WMJobs.
About the Team
Here at Warwickshire County Council we put children and families at the heart of everything we do. We aim to ensure that Warwickshire’s children, young people, parents and carers receive the right help at the right time. We are passionate about supporting communities and families to build on their strengths and relationships and find their own solutions.
We are recruiting experienced social workers to undertake the role of Peripatetic Social Worker in our Family Connect service. Family Connect is the point for all referrals where community members and professionals refer children and young people living in Warwickshire where safety and welfare are concerns. This is an office-based post, with potential for some work from home after induction, and support for Children and Family Advisors. Warwickshire is embedding its Families First teams to support children and families through locality working, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency collaboration with local services, Health, Police and Education.
Our offer includes opportunities to build strong relationships with families and to join Warwickshire’s Children and Families service.
Our service aims to provide information, advice and guidance to professionals; we implement a telephone referral process and use coaching conversations with callers who have concerns for safety or wellbeing.
We are recruiting three permanent Peripatetic Social Workers to join our vibrant Family Connect Team. You will work across service areas across Warwickshire, bringing expertise where needed and gaining diverse experience while supporting changing demand.
This may include work within Family Help Teams undertaking assessments and interventions with children and families, with targeted early support, child in need, child protection and care proceedings.
Three full-time, experienced Social Workers are sought to join our team in a peripatetic capacity, working flexibly across different locations within Warwickshire to meet service needs. If you are committed, innovative and passionate about improving outcomes for children, Warwickshire would like to hear from you.
