Head of Sales, UK – FMCG
An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join a highly innovative and fast-growing premium brand business as their UK Head of Sales. Working on behalf of a key client, Drayton is seeking an ambitious and experienced sales leader to drive market share, build strategic retailer partnerships, and lead a high-performing team.
The Opportunity
This is a pivotal, high-profile role reporting directly to the Managing Director. Your mission will be to significantly accelerate the brand's growth and cement its premium positioning within the modern grocers channel (e.g., Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose).
We are looking for more than just a manager; we need a strategic visionary who can get hands-on with execution.
What You'll Be Doing
* Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute compelling sales strategies designed to deliver aggressive growth targets and ensure the brand continues to dominate the premium segment.
* Retailer Partnership:
Go beyond transactional selling. You will be instrumental in scoping strategies to work in direct partnership with retailers to deeply develop their categories. This means leveraging data, consumer insights, and joint business planning to create mutually beneficial growth plans that change how the category is viewed and sold.
* Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of five sales professionals, including National Account Managers and Account Executives. You'll be responsible for their development, performance, and ensuring a culture of excellence.
* Premium Brand Advocacy:
Successfully translate the brand's premium value proposition into compelling commercial arguments for the modern grocers.
What You'll Bring

A proven track record of successfully selling premium brands within the UK modern grocers channel is non-negotiable.
* Leadership & Development:
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small, high-impact sales team.
* Strategic Acumen:
The ability to think strategically about category management and customer partnership, not just price and volume.
* Location Flexibility:
This is a
remote-based contract
