Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Maltby, S66
Pay Rate: £86 – £100 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Maltby (S66) area immediately. As a Primary TA, this role provides the opportunity to support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
* Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils as required.
* Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a well-organised learning environment.
* Support pupils’ social and emotional development, encouraging confidence and independence.
* Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and parents to support pupil progress.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience supporting children in a classroom setting is desirable.
* Patience, empathy, and flexibility to meet the needs of individual learners.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with explanations for any gaps.
