Job Summary
We are recruiting for one Health Records Clerk to be based in our Health Records Clerk Department in Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen.
The current contract that is available is: 1 x Full time - 37.5 hours per week. Previous experience in a record keeping role is not required; on the job training will be provided. You will predominantly begin your training in our Filing Library and then be exposed to other duties within the department.
Main Duties
* Filing and retrieving patient records, locating, and providing patient records for all outpatient appointments, planned admissions and day case attendances.
* Preparation of patient records for outpatient/inpatient attendances.
* Operation of a computerised patients administration system, including inputting and retrieval of data.
* Dealing with telephone queries.
* Scanning of patient records to support the Medical Examiners Service.
Qualifications & Knowledge
* Good standard of education to include Math's and English GCSE or demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills.
* Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
* Knowledge of general administrative / office duties, including filing systems.
Experience
* Computer literate.

* Flexible to the needs of the service.
Desirable
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1).
