Automation Tester - SC - hybrid Manchester or Newcastle Upon Tyne - 6 months - c£520pday Umbrella
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Tester to work on a hybrid basis (3 days p/wk) in either Manchester or Newcastle upon Tyne.
You will have current SC clearance ideally or eligible to go through SC clearance.
Responsibilities
- work closely with software developers to reach a common understanding of the code base and test coverage at unit level
- collaborate with analysts to ensure the required business scenarios are covered in the acceptance test scripts
- work on both functional and non-functional areas of an application
- coach and mentor testers
- Communicate with stakeholders within and outside the organisation to coordinate test coverage and schedules

- Java and Spring Framework
- Cucumber for BDD testing
- REST APIs
Beneficial to be familiar
- Wiremock
- Maven
- AWS Stack, including secure cloud testing
- Automation Testing (Selenium / JMeter / K6)
- REST Client (Postman / Insomnia)
- GitLab CI
- Java (to code Cucumber steps in test framework)
- Container environments (e.g., Kubernetes)
