Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Systems Commissioning Technician to join our Estates Department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work closely with Engineers and the Workshop Manager to assist with daily departmental operations.
2. Monitor and control workshop performance, including deputising for the Workshop Manager during short-term absences or annual leave.
3. Maintain accurate records and prioritize work based on workload demands.
4. Undertake maintenance, repairs, minor improvements, and capital projects across the Trust, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
5. Conduct testing and inspection of installations to ensure compliance with BS7671 standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of HNC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering, with significant experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hospital environment.
Experience with steam, water systems, gas, medical gases, autoclaves, Trend BMS, air-conditioning, and refrigeration is advantageous.
Additional Information
This position is primarily based at the Royal Free Hospital, with potential work in other areas within the Trust.
The role involves working a split shift pattern and participating in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota.
