We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented accountant to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, reporting to the Financial Controller. This role supports senior finance personnel with ad hoc projects and provides cover for other team members. This is a broad role for an adaptable individual who wants to add value and gain experience.

Key Responsibilities
* Cashflow Management: Daily cash reconciliation, updating cashflow reports, updating and submission of weekly forecast to group, liaising with SL & PL to ensure accurate forecasting.
* Month-end Procedures: Preparation & posting of month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and project transfers.
* Balance sheet reconciliations: on a monthly basis, cut-off testing on a quarterly basis.
* Corporate Governance: Production of monthly cost reports for key corporate accounts and analysis spend against budget/forecast, meeting with stakeholders to discuss variances.
* Utilisation report: Production of weekly utilisation report and working with finance business partner to monitor trends within each business unit to aid greater forecasting accuracy.
* Fixed Asset: maintenance of fixed asset register, addition and disposals, production of a capex report for bi-weekly capex committee and attend meetings.
* Audit: Assistance with year-end and half-year audits, dealing with any queries raised and updating statutory accounts ready for review by Financial controller and Finance Director.
* Stock reporting: Production of monthly stock report, journal and assisting FBP with improvement of processes.
* Assist with other ad hoc tasks and support the team during busy periods
Ideally what we are looking for
* Has experience of accounting in a projects or professional service environment, involving time and expenses
* Ideally part qualified accountant and working towards completing qualification
* Experience in using Excel to an advanced level and accounting software
* Has good organisational skills
* Excellent reconciliation experience and self checking of outputs
* Strong attention to detail
* Adaptable
