You will foster strong partnerships with Senior Leaders in Finance, their management teams, and the Senior Technology Management team to provide Strategic Direction, Change Delivery & Transformation direction, and Architectural Direction.
You will have specialized domain knowledge of Finance Technology, presenting key issues and recommendations to the Finance teams. Your remit also includes ensuring all Technology control processes operate as defined and can report externally to demonstrate effectiveness.
Purpose statements:
* Support the definition and delivery of the Corporate Function strategy aligned with wider Technology initiatives.
* Identify and promote innovative solutions to improve the portfolio and Technology teams within Finance.
* Collaborate with partners and suppliers across Finance Technology and broader technology functions to deliver services, working closely with the CFT LT and IT colleagues.
* Contribute actively to the M&G CFT Team and serve as a visible technology leader for Corporate Functions.
* Support the M&G Portfolio Manager in technical delivery and service management impacting the organization.
* Own technical design issues and drive resolutions through iterative design processes.
* Present solutions and proofs of concept to stakeholders internally and externally.
* Report significant risks, control breaches, audit issues, or non-compliance to M&G Technology (CITO).
* Promote adaptive design practices to foster collaboration around a shared technical vision using continuous feedback.
* Own the CFT Portfolio Architecture & Roadmap.
Expected qualities/skills:
* Forward thinking
* Ability to identify opportunities for process simplification and automation
* Deep understanding of Corporate Functions Architecture & End-to-End processes
* Experience with external innovation
* Proven ability to define application architectures and roadmaps for complex solutions across all layers of technical architecture
* Strong analytical and organizational skills, with clear and structured presentation abilities
* Experience delivering solutions that securely span complex infrastructure domains
* Knowledge of systems development lifecycle, best practices, and approaches
* Familiarity with hardware, software, application, system engineering, Cloud, microservices, APIs
* Ability to build effective relationships with IT and non-IT stakeholders
Experience statements:
* At least 3 years of experience designing Finance or Corporate Functions & Data Technology Architecture
* Experience leading or working on Transformation programs
* Significant experience with Azure Data Tooling: ADF, Databricks, Synapse
* Understanding of Data Modeling & Data Governance
* Knowledge of Agile & Waterfall delivery methodologies
* Ability to discuss finance policies and transform related processes and systems
* Experience managing third parties, including budget oversight
* Hands-on engineering experience in programming languages and cloud platforms
* Understanding of engineering, security, compliance, and service challenges
