Job Title: Patch Manager Location: Newtownards Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm Hourly Rate: £16.90 Duration: Temporary, ongoing contract, Essential Criteria Applicants must meet one of the following: A degree (Level 6) or equivalent plus 1 year’s relevant experience in a customer support environment; A BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma (Level 5) in Housing plus 1 year’s relevant experience; A BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma (Level 5) or equivalent plus 2 years’ relevant experience; Or equivalent professional development with 3 years’ relevant experience. About the role: This role plays a key part in supporting communities, ensuring tenancies are sustained, and delivering an excellent standard of housing service. You will manage tenancy and estate matters, engage with residents and partner agencies, and help maintain safe, vibrant neighbourhoods. Key Responsibilities Tenancy Management & Sustainment: Manage tenancy commencements, transfers, and terminations Support residents to sustain their tenancies through advice and early intervention. Liaise with relevant agencies to assist vulnerable tenants. Handle rent accounts, arrears prevention, and tenancy compliance. Estate Management: Maintain and improve estates, working closely with maintenance and community teams. Engage with local residents and community groups to promote safety and cohesion. Manage planned maintenance schemes, ensuring effective tenant communication and liaison. Address anti-social behaviour issues and promote positive community relations. General Duties: Provide excellent customer service, resolving queries promptly. Represent the housing team at meetings and liaise with partner agencies. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and legislation. You must also demonstrate: Experience in a customer-focused environment delivering high-quality service. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to communicate effectively and manage challenging situations. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. Full driving licence or access to transport to meet the role’s requirements.
