Fourblue are working on behalf of a growing utility and civil engineering contractor seeking a QSHE Advisor to support their expanding operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that places a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
As a QSHE Advisor, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving health, safety, environmental, and quality systems across the organisation. You will help ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, support internal and external audits, and contribute to building a culture of continual improvement across all business functions.
Responsibilities of the QSHE Advisor:
* Implement, manage, and improve internal SHEQ systems and processes
* Support the senior leadership team with business accreditations such as SafeContractor
* Promote SHEQ awareness and drive performance improvements company-wide
* Deliver site inductions, including DNA testing for new starters
* Prepare and review RAMS and operational site folders
* Collaborate with all departments to identify areas for improvement
* Ensure SHEQ requirements are clearly communicated to subcontractors and suppliers
* Deliver internal HSE training and maintain training matrices
* Assist with the development of Construction Phase Plans when acting as Principal Contractor
* Set and monitor SHEQ objectives and targets
* Support business requirements under GIRS, NERS, and WIRS schemes
* Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained and operated by qualified staff
Criteria for the QSHE Advisor:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SHEQ role within the utilities or civil engineering sector
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent NVQ qualification)
* Full UK driving licence
* Confident conducting incident investigations and reporting findings
* Able to manage workload independently and meet tight deadlines
