BRC are recruiting on behalf of a leading charity whose mission is to offer dedicated and empathetic Floating Support Worker to join their Cardiff team, helping individuals to build independence, sustain tenancies, and create positive futures.
About the Role
As a Floating Support Worker, you’ll work with individuals living in their own accommodation across Cardiff, providing flexible, person-centred support to help them maintain their homes and improve their wellbeing.
The role:
Provide practical and emotional support to clients who may be facing challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse, or financial hardship.
Create and deliver individual support plans focused on housing sustainment, budgeting, life skills, and wellbeing.
Work in partnership with local agencies, housing providers, and community services to ensure holistic support.
Empower people to achieve their goals, build confidence, and live independently.
Keep accurate records and contribute to service improvement and safeguarding practices. What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally in housing, homelessness, or community settings.
A strong understanding of housing-related support, tenancy sustainment, and local services.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a non-judgemental and empathetic approach.
The ability to manage a caseload, prioritise tasks, and work independently in the community.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Why apply?
