The Role
Head of Unit Emergency - work in partnership with the Director and Clinical Director of Emergency and Intensive Care and the Emergency Nurse Unit Manager. The Head of Unit to provide operational and strategic clinical leadership to enable staff and unit development in line with the operational needs and strategic vision of the service. A key initial focus will be ensuring readiness of the team to move into the new and expanded emergency department in 2027.
Requirements
You are suitably experienced in the field of Emergency Medicine and be seeking to develop your career in clinical leadership and governance. You are experienced in teaching and professional development of medical students, interns, HMOs and emergency trainees and be able to provide mentorship and leadership for FACEMs. You are invested in delivering a high quality service for patients and a safe and rewarding workplace for staff.
The Requirements:
* Medical qualification and current emergency specialist registration with AHPRA.
* Fellow of Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.
* Broad experience across the spectrum of emergency medicine.
* Previous experience in a senior leadership role is desirable.
* Demonstrated skills in multidisciplinary team building in acute health care settings.
