Eliburn Support Service is a day service supporting adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex health care needs or life-limiting conditions.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the successful applicant to join our staff team on a fixed-term basis covering maternity leave.
The Service provides face-to-face support with high staffing levels, enabling individuals to access building and community-based meaningful activities tailored to their outcomes.
This role requires developing and delivering a person-centred, outcome-focused service in line with West Lothian Council policies, Care Inspectorate guidance, and national strategies.
The successful candidate will demonstrate practical skills, knowledge, and understanding in supporting and enabling people through various interactions, adopting a creative holistic approach to meet social, health, and wellbeing needs.
The role includes providing hands-on care, supporting personal care, physical mobility, and assisting with meals and drinks.
Support for communication, understanding, and expression is essential, enabling service users to express their preferences and wishes.
This role can be physically demanding, requiring support to access community and building-based activities meaningfully, and supporting personal care.
The successful candidate will be expected to record information and maintain care plans in both electronic and written formats.
Qualifications such as HNC Health and Social Care or SVQ 3 (Health and Social Care – Adults) are desirable but not essential; applicants must demonstrate they meet the essential criteria.
This post is regulated work with vulnerable adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will need to join or update the PVG Scheme before employment begins.
