What you’ll be doing As part of our dedicated kitchen team, you will: Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals in a busy catering environment Deliver consistently excellent food standards for military personnel and staff Maintain the highest levels of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness Ensure full compliance with EHO guidelines and sanitation best practices Work closely with front-of-house teams to create a seamless dining experience Support exciting special events and high-profile functions Assist with bulk cooking while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who brings both skill and enthusiasm: Previous professional chef or cook experience in catering or hospitality Strong knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and health regulations Ability to work efficiently in a busy, team-focused environment A genuine passion for cooking and delivering exceptional service Desirable (but not essential) Experience within military, MOD, or government catering environments IOSH qualification or equivalent Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Recognised culinary qualifications such as: City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery At Sodexo, you’re not just taking a job — you’re building a career with purpose.
