We are a looking to recruit an additional practice nurse at our surgery. The practice aims to provide high quality care based on the needs of our practice population which includes treatment, screening and preventative care.
Main duties of the job
A Practice Nurse who is able to manage patients with chronic disease, carry out cervical screening and deliver immunisations in line with the national immunisation schedule and contraception services. Wound dressing and experience in travel health advice and vaccinations is beneficial. Knowledge of QOF targets and the ability to maintain accurate patient records and the use of appropriate read codes and templates. Undertake health promotion and educate patients in areas such as weight management and smoking cessation

We are a large friendly team comprising of GP's, Practice nurse, Nursing Associate, GPA and a HCA. In addition we have ARRS roles including Physiotherapist, Social Prescribers, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. The ability to work within a team and perform under pressure and use your initiative. Maintain your NMC registration and your own continuous professional development.
Job responsibilities
Qualifications:
* Current NMC registration
* Accredited training in chronic disease management
* Up to date training in childhood immunisations
