CAMHS Specialist Grade Doctor Tier 3 Community Sutton
Join us at NHS as a Specialist Grade Psychiatrist in Sutton. The role is full‑time (10PA) but part‑time can be negotiated. This is a new post within the CAMHS community team in a leafy suburb of South West London.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will work with a senior CAMHS Consultant and other experienced mental health clinicians. Responsibilities include providing medical and psychological treatment to children and families with severe mental health needs, leading service development, and teaching.
Responsibilities
* Work under supervision of the Clinical Director to deliver child and adolescent mental health services.
* Provide assessment, management, and support for complex mental health conditions.
* Lead on service development and collaboration with local authority, education, and borough services.
* Engage in teaching and training activities for undergraduate/postgraduate trainees.
* Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, and research activities.
* Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
Qualifications & Experience
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
* MRCPsych or equivalent, Paper A and B.
* Fully registered with GMC at appointment.
* Minimum 12 years post‑qualification clinical experience; 6 years in psychiatry, including 2 years in CAMHS.
* Approved under S12 or ability to achieve within six months.
* Excellent clinical skills, knowledge of psychopharmacology, and experience of working with multi‑agency systems.
Desirable
* Higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
* Additional clinical qualifications.
* Experience in a variety of therapies or specialist services.
* Evidence of achievements in education, research, audit, or service improvement.

Salary
£96,990 to £107,155 per annum, pro rata, plus London Zone Allowance.
Contract and Work Pattern
Permanent. Full‑time with options for part‑time.
