Production Planner role at Gates Corporation

Working full-time from our Dumfries office, you will be a Production Planner within our planning department. Reporting to Materials Flow Manager, the core function of the position is to control the scheduling and planning of specific Production Operations to the optimum degree of efficiency.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
* Develop weekly manufacturing schedules to meet customer demands, addressing issues as they arise and facilitating cross-functional teamwork where necessary.
* Monitor manufacturing scheduling adherence on a daily basis.
* Collaborate with internal departments such as Procurement, Logistics, Production, Sales and Operational Planning.
* Provide forecast data to our external raw material suppliers.
* Assess site manufacturing capacity to ensure it aligns with demand requirements.

Requirements And Preferred Skills
* 0-1 year(s) of experience
* Experience of planning/scheduling in a manufacturing plant is preferred.
* An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages is required.
* Experience of MRP would be an advantage.
* Must have excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
