Small, family run business in Richmond upon Thames are seeking a CAD Designer to join their team. The CAD Designer will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the company’s design and administrative processes. This is a role which can evolve within the business and requires a versatile employee who is happy to assist and add value to the organisation, plus be proactive and look for areas of the business which could be improved, as well as implement ways to do so. Previous experience and familiarity with ArtiCAD or another CAD software is essential, but training will be given in internal software. Specific Role Requirements: Have experience working with CAD software to create technical drawings and renders. Have a good spatial awareness within design. Able to produce detailed technical drawings and estimates with a high level of precision, and according to the sales team’s specifications. Be committed to working closely with the sales team to convert estimates into orders. Will familiarise yourself with our product ranges so that you can communicate them and their design options to our customers. Be confident communicating with customers by telephone and e-mail to answer their queries, note and make any amendments they require to their design/s, and keep them informed as to the progress of their order. Able to conduct showroom appointments with customers, identify their needs and budgetary requirements, and offer them design solutions. Be thorough, with great attention to detail. This is essential to avoid costly mistakes. Be able to follow CAD and administrative processes already set in place by the company and suggest improvements to them if necessary.This role would suit someone looking to acquire their second job role and wishing to gain the varied experience that a small company can offer. Someone with less experience would be considered if they can demonstrate they are keen to learn, self-motivated and driven to boost their skillset. Salary range is £25,000 - £35,000 DOE
