Responsibilities
Working in some of the best venues and hotels in the UK you will play an integral part in the planning and preparation of events, and will be responsible for the delivery and set‑up from small meetings through to large‑scale productions.
Equipment Operation
* Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping and repairing equipment prior to an event
* Ensure flawless event execution through accurate and timely setup, operation and breakdown of basic audio‑visual equipment
* Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise
* Comply with all company security and safety measures, adhering to health & safety regulations and wearing appropriate PPE
* Report all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or Project Manager onsite
* Collaborate as part of a team on larger‑scale projects when required
Customer Service
* Deliver world‑class service and strive to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers
* Maintain positive relationships with all clients through effective communication
* Meet with guests on site to ensure their needs are met and equipment is set up properly
* Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day
* Understand and foster the hotel/venue/client relationship
Technical Ability
* Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem‑solve with equipment and software issues
* Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner
Systems Knowledge
* Understand company processes, follow procedures and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately
* Use equipment sheets to determine scheduled equipment for set‑up and strike, interacting with staff and outside vendors
* Utilise floor up‑selling techniques to increase revenue
* Work with clients to finalise invoices
What You Bring
* Previous experience within the service and hospitality industry would be preferable
* Previous experience in AV / live events preferred
* Previous audio‑visual experience, or equivalent in an educational environment beneficial
