What's involved with this role: Job Title: Revenues and Benefits Assessor Ref: Nuneaton 5270238 Pay rate: £15.70 per hour PAYE The role: We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused Revenues and Benefits Assessor to join a busy team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and determining entitlement to various benefits and council tax support, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims. Your work will directly support vulnerable residents and contribute to the effective delivery of local government services. Key Responsibilities: Assess and process claims for Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, and other related benefits in line with current legislation and guidelines. Verify information provided by applicants and liaise with external organisations to confirm details where necessary Provide advice and assistance to customers regarding their entitlement and application process Maintain accurate records and ensure data protection compliance Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery Investigate and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in claims What the client is looking for: Experience working within Revenues and Benefits Strong understanding of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support regulations and procedures Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Good IT skills, including experience with benefits processing software and Microsoft Office How to Apply Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
