Job Description
Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Manchester
About The Role
* Produce structural calculations and detailed technical drawings compliant with UK standards
* Support projects across sectors including commercial, residential, educational & healthcare
* Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
* Carry out structural surveys, assessments and reporting
* Assist with project coordination, technical submissions and compliance checks
* Attend project meetings and site visits where required
About You
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline
* Typically 3 - 8 years experience in a UK structural engineering consultancy
* Strong understanding of structural design for concrete, steel, timber and masonry
* Competency in producing calculations to Eurocode standards
* Experience with CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Partial or full chartered status (IStructE or ICE) or working towards chartership
* Experience with structural surveys, refurbishment projects or detailed reporting
* Some knowledge of civil engineering elements (e.g. drainage, ground conditions)
