Join Us as a Trainee and Build a Career in Fire Safety
As a Trainee Fire Extinguisher Technician, you’ll develop hands-on skills in fire extinguisher maintenance, inspection, and testing—crucial knowledge for a career in the fire safety industry.
During your first six months, you’ll receive industry-leading training delivered by our expert team at Marlowe. This includes classroom-based learning and practical, on-the-job experience at client sites. You’ll be mentored by an experienced Engineer, ensuring ongoing professional development.
You’ll be enrolled in a specialist industry course, working toward becoming BS 5306 qualified, laying the foundation for a rewarding, long-term career in fire protection.
* The primary objective is to develop the skills and knowledge to become a fully qualified Fire Extinguisher Technician.
* Work alongside experienced Fire Extinguisher Technicians, gaining hands-on experience.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with a diverse client base, representing the company to high standards.
* Communicate clearly with customers about the status and condition of their fire safety equipment.
* Collaborate with Service Administrators to meet customer requirements and service expectations.
* Take responsibility for the proper management, care, and security of vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.
* Demonstrate a positive attitude toward training and development, carrying out duties professionally and diligently.
* Flexibility to travel and stay overnight may be required during peak periods and throughout the training programme.

Essential Professional Experience

* Possession of a full UK driving licence.
* Willingness and flexibility to travel as required for work and training purposes.
Desirable Professional Experience
* Previous experience with mechanical fire protection systems (e.g., sprinklers, suppression systems).
* Technical background within the mechanical fire safety industry.
* Experience in a customer-facing role with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
