General Duties Including
1. The Technician will work with the management and delivery team of the organization to advise on the statutory health, safety, and environmental requirements as they affect the company's operations.
2. Assist the management team in ensuring that the legal and company SHE requirements are implemented.
3. Assist in developing, reviewing, and checking the implementation of safe systems of work, deliver training (e.g., toolbox talks & inductions), investigate incidents, analyze data, and present findings to the management team.
4. Engage with all aspects of the organization to support the embedment of a culture that ensures everyone can return home safely each day while also protecting and enhancing global land, air, and water resources for future generations.
5. Inspire and influence others to work responsibly, understand the legal framework, and see how safety, health, and environmental management can enhance operational activities.
The Role Will Be Based Across Both
* Shaw Lane Head Office (based).
* Xenon Park Site (occasional visits required).
Training will be at North Lindsey College, where you will access a wide range of facilities. The program includes:
* Day release.
* Undertaking the Safety, Health and Environment standard.
* Functional Skills for English and/or maths if needed.
* Both on- and off-the-job training by industry-qualified professionals to develop your skills, knowledge, and experience to become a SHE professional of the future.
Work hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 17:00; Friday, 08:00 to 14:30.
