Careers Advisor – Schools Across Oldham / Rochdale
Pay: £31,** Full-time, Temporary until end of March
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Careers Advisor to deliver high-quality careers information, advice, and guidance across schools, colleges, and training provider settings. You will work directly with students and learners who are in education, training, or seeking employment, helping them to make informed decisions about their future pathways.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver impartial careers guidance to students and learners.
* Manage a caseload and create tailored action/development plans.
* Support learners with progression routes, including UCAS applications.
* Provide up-to-date labour‑market and careers information.
* Build strong relationships with schools, colleges, and training providers.
* Set SMART targets and track learner progress against outcomes.
* Deliver group sessions and workshops as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum Level 6 IAG qualification (essential).
* Proven experience delivering careers education, information, advice, and guidance.
* Strong knowledge of local labour market and education/training pathways.
* Experience working with young people in an educational or employability setting.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to manage a fluctuating caseload and meet performance targets.
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
* Access to own vehicle for regional travel.
