Welding Foreman
Job Location: Near Wyke Regis, Dorset
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £15.83 - £20.36 p/h (£35,000 - £45,000 per annum)
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday (flexibility required due to nature of the business)

Responsibilities
- Assist in organising and overseeing the day to day running of the workshop
- Communicate with the Manager and Service Department and provide regular updates of ongoing workshop activities
- Ensure all materials and jobs are ready for the welders
- Ensure all jobs are undertaken in a professional and correct manner
- Carry out quality control checks
- Be the first point of escalation for any queries from the team
- Prevent and minimise the careless use of equipment and materials
- Make sure all the welding tools and equipment are in good working order
- Adhere to and promote housekeeping, tidying and Health and Safety regulations and policies applicable to the role and workshop environment
- Complete any other tasks as and when required
Skills and Previous Experience
- Previous welding / fabricating experience
- Relevant formal qualifications or training are advantageous but time served is acceptable
- Ability to weld to high standard in MIG, MMA and TIG
- Positive and enthusiastic mindset with a real 'can do' attitude and strong teamwork ethic
- Level‑headed and calm, demonstrating empathy, understanding and a professional persona, setting a good example to others at all times
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong performance as a welder and ability to act as a role model to keep standards high
- Approachable and helpful
