We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our great team in Rivenhall End, near Witham, Essex.Use of a car is needed due to our location. This is a full time permanent role.
Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years of experience within an accounts department is highly desirable. Studying AAT would be a significant advantage
Skills/Competencies:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* The ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Meet deadlines in a timely manner
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Sound understanding of the accounting functions
Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
* Inventory costing
* Provide support to the Accounts Payable (AP) team, including the creation of new supplier accounts
* Assist the Accounts Receivable (AR) team with collections, chargeback monitoring, and the production of copy invoices and customer statements
* Contribute to company audit requirements
* Provide first-line cover for banking operations
* Generate aging analysis reports for both AP and AR teams
* Assist with company expenditure inquiries
* Support the team with ad-hoc inquiries
* Prepare revenue discount journals
* Assist with regular monthly close journal entries
* Perform monthly accounting reconciliations
Salary £28 - £30,000 per year. Benefits include:
