This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience working in early years or key stages 1 and 2 who are keen to help pupils reach their full potential. Whether you are a qualified Teaching Assistant or have relevant childcare experience, this role could be your next exciting step. Primary Teaching Assistant (Primary TA) Responsibilities: Support pupils’ learning and development under the guidance of the classroom teacher. Deliver small group interventions in literacy, numeracy, and phonics. Create a positive and engaging classroom environment. Assist with classroom preparation and the organisation of resources. Encourage good behaviour and provide emotional support to pupils. Monitor and report on student progress to teaching staff. Help with playground supervision and transitions during the school day. Skills & Requirements of Primary TA: Prior experience working with children in a school or similar environment as a Primary Teaching Assistant. Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE/NVQ Level 2 or 3) preferred but not essential. A degree in Education, Psychology or in a similar field. A calm, caring, and adaptable approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff. Commitment to helping children achieve their best in a safe, supportive space.
