My client is seeking a caring and dedicated individual to take on a combined role as a SEND Teaching Assistant and Breakfast Club Assistant. This unique opportunity allows you to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey while contributing to a safe, happy, and healthy morning environment for all students. This role is available on a fixed-term contract with a working pattern across both roles of 7:15-11. What You’ll Be Doing SEND Support: Work one-on-one with a child with an EHCP to support their academic and personal development. Adapt materials and learning activities to meet individual needs. Collaborate with teachers, SENDCO, parents, and external professionals like speech and language therapists. Provide care during play/lunchtimes and assist with intimate care when required. Breakfast Club: Supervise and engage with children across the primary age range during breakfast time. Organize fun and structured activities to foster a positive start to the school day. Ensure a smooth transition from breakfast club to classroom activities. About You Be able to do the job as described. Caring, patient, and empathetic, with an understanding of children’s individual learning needs. Skilled communicator who can build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff. Flexible and enthusiastic about working in a busy school environment. Understanding of autism and intensive interaction (desirable but not essential).
